Every so often a quality TV show comes along that for one reason or another failed to get the attention it deserved. Quality TV is something everybody editorializes about and yet when it comes knocking it gets the 2 am to 4 am syndication banishment. THE CAPE was one such quality show relegated to syndication obscurity. It deserves to be saved! Help us SAVE THE CAPE.

THE CAPE, a series based on the lives and times of America's Astronauts at Cape Canaveral, Florida!! Filmed on location at and around the Kennedy Space Center, a high degree of authenticity has been achieved by the production Companies, ZM Productions and MTM Entertainment.

THE CAPE is television for young and old, it challenges your imagination and forces you to dream about the possibilities. So very few television shows can do that. So very few have even attempted to do so. THE CAPE accomplished it hands down.

THE CAPE has been a POSITIVE influence in placing America's Space program in a positive light both here in the United States and Canada, as well as in Europe and the United Kingdom, where our Partners in the International Space Station (ISS), are housed. It has given the needed Human element to the obscurities and mysteries of Astro-Science and Space Technology and has understandably been instrumental in a wider acceptance AND understanding AND acceptance of Humanity's Spirit-driven reach outward to the Heavens.

To let this inertia for good be forgotten and relegated to the dusty archives of our memories is something we must be (and are) fighting against nationally and internationally until we see THE CAPE back on-screen where it belongs!

As we move into the next century, the commercialization of space, the Space Station expansion and a return to the moon will be on the drawing board. The first "Martian" is likely walking around a high school somewhere right now. Youth are the future of space and thus need to be exposed to programming that will stir the imagination and fire the creativity that will see that youngster one day touch the dusty face of Mars.

TV is the cornerstone. Films like APOLLO 13, mini-series like FROM THE EARTH TO THE MOON, and television shows like THE CAPE are part of that future. In recent years they have spurred renewed interest in the space program. Space is the future. Our commercial future lies in space - manufacturing, tourism, and exploration. To dream the dream is the goal. Television should not only reflect society, but the possibilities that lie ahead. Before being unmercifully struck down, THE CAPE had just started to scratch the surface of its potential.

Help us SAVE THE CAPE. Help us preserve quality television in all its forms. The goal is to believe in the infinite possibilities of life. THE CAPE is a good starting point. One small step at a time...
