After I recovered I went on and worked as a carpenter until 1989 when post polio got me down. Underwent Sister Kenny treatment plus various exercises. Stared school there. Fortunately grew up very normal, doing almost anything I wanted. Started having leg weakness in my 40's. Now unable to walk without support such as canes. Have severe weakness in both legs and pain (probably arthritis)in knees and ankle. |
